Census 2011

आया जी देखो census का त्यौहार, 
डेमोक्रेसी का सबसे बड़ा उपहार, 
हर दस साल मैं आता एक बार, 
और बता जाता कितना बड़ गया हमारा भारतीय परिवार!


आज फिर से वही दिन आया है, 
जब सरकार गिनेगी क्या खोया क्या पाया है, 
2001 से 2011 तक की तरक्की का सफ़र तो सबके सामने है, 
अब छुपे हुए पिछड़ेपन का नंबर आया है!
                                                                         
phase II मैं caste के सवाल को अटकाया है, 
वोट बैंक का बड़ा भारी तड़का लगाया है, 
पूछने में झिझकता है आम enumerator, 
पर जाति बताएं सब अपनी मान लेकर!


आकड़ों मैं सरकार बताएगी, कितने घर हैं कितने बेघर, 
और कितने बेरोजगार बैठे हैं हर घर, 
किसने किया कहाँ से migration, 
और कौन बड़ा रहा है, बिन सोचे तेज़ी से population!


enumerator पूछ पूछ वाही सवाल, हो चुके हैं confuse, 
और लोग उनसे पूछें  मैडम क्या है इनका use, 
वो कर नहीं सकते लोगों के सवालों को refuse, 
पर उनके दिमाग हो चुके हैं पूरी तरह diffuse!


census के काम मैं जिनको लगाया है, 
enumerator, supervisor और master trainer जैसे नामों से उन्हें सजाया है, 
क्या करें भई ऐसे नामों से सज कर, 
जब घर पे रोटी ना बने टाइम पर!


पति जी की ज्यादा आफत आई है, 
क्यूंकि रात के खाने की duty उनके हिस्स्से आई है, 
पूरे घर ने ले लिया है census office का स्वरुप, 
और Mrs. काम मैं जुटी हैं, भुलाए अपना रंग रूप!


लम्बे से गत्ते पर हरे फ़ॉर्मों को रखकर, 
काला झोला टाँगे जो दिखे भागता इधर उधर, 
दुनिया की ना हो जिसको कोई खबर, 
समझ लेना वोही है census 2011 का enumerator!
